Neysa McKenney has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 36 years. She received her undergraduate degree and Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Cleveland State University. Neysa is licensed through the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association. Neysa also holds a permanent State of Ohio Teaching Certificate. The majority of her career has been spent working with children with special needs providing services in a variety of settings including home based, clinic and classroom. Neysa specializes in early intervention (birth-3 years old) with a focus on parent training. Her interests include motor speech disorders, low tech augmentative communication, sensory integration, and parent coaching through the Hanen and floortime models.
In addition to gardening, d.i.y. projects and volunteering at the dog shelter, Neysa is passionate about play/social development in young children and conducts monthly playgroups for families with children who have special needs. Neysa resides in North Olmsted with her husband. She has 2 grown boys and 3 dogs.
